fTransferring From School Or College Within The United States
 
Taylor Business Institute welcomes international students who wish to transfer from other colleges and universities in the U.S. The following steps are provided to show you how to transfer as an F-I student. Students who have an F1 Visa, are studying at another school and wish to transfer to Taylor Business Institute must complete the following steps.

1.    Contact the Director of International Student Affairs at Taylor Business Institute and fulfill the following administrative requirements.  

2.    Submit a completed application for admission with all the processing fees.

3.    If accepted by Taylor Business Institute, then meet with the international student advisor from that school and get permission to transfer. A Notice of Intention to Transfer from F-1 (transfer-in-form) must be completed by the prior school.

4.    Have the international advisor at the previous school release the SEVIS record to Taylor Business Institute    

5.    Request and obtain a SEVIS Form I-20 application from Taylor Business Institute. The SEVIS Form I-20 will not be issued until one half of the tuition for that training period has been paid in full for that quarter.

6.    Submit official transcripts for all academic work at  high school, or secondary    
    level school and for all college level work that has been completed.

7.     If the student is not eligible for school transfer due to a F-1 status violation, the student must apply to the Department of Homeland Security for an immigration reinstatement or depart the U.S. and make a new entry on a brand-new SEVIS I-20.


Transferring Out of Taylor Business Institute
 
If you intend to transfer to another U.S. school and have been admitted, you must contact the International Student Advisor at Taylor Business Institute and complete a Transfer-Out Form.  Once the International Advisor verifies your eligibility for school transfer, your SEVIS record will be released to the new school.  Until the transfer-out process is completed within the SEVIS system, the new school cannot issue you a transfer I-20.

Your SEVIS record must be released from Taylor Business Institute and transferred into the new school within 60 days of your last attendance at Taylor Business Institute.  You then have five months from the last date of attendance at Taylor Business Institute to begin your educational program at the new school.
