International students seeking admission to Taylor Business Institute directly from abroad should contact the Director of International Student Affairs as soon as possible to allow sufficient time to fulfill all necessary steps in the administrative process.  

The following steps are provided to show you how to seek and gain entry into the United States as an F-1 student.  Also be aware that each U.S. Consulate or Embassy has its own process for completing visa applications.  Please see http://www.travel.state.gov/

Students who are outside the United States must take the Form I-20 (to apply for an F-1 visa) to the visa office of the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.  

In order to get a F-1 visa the student consulate needs the following documents:
•    I-20 from Taylor Business Insitutue
•    Passport
•    Acceptance Letter from Taylor Business Institute
•    Documents to demonstrate financial support for the program for which you have been admitted
•    Ties to Country (Document to demonstrate your intention to return home after completion of you academic program).
•    A completed application Form DS-156, together with a Form DS-158.  Both forms must be complete and signed.  Some applicants will also be required to complete and sign Form DS-157.  You can usually obtain these forms on-line at the embassy’s website, or by visiting the embassy directory.

•    Two Photographs


In order to get an I-20 form from Taylor Business Institute, the following documents are needed:

•    Financial evidence
•    Copy of valid passport (valid for at least 6 months into the future)
•    Copy of marriage certificate, if applicable
•    Copy of birth certificate, if applicable
•    Copy of diploma from school or college

•    School application fee $250.00 (non-refundable)

When Taylor Business Institute receives your completed application, your application will be processed within two business days and an acceptance packet will be sent to you.
